Birth Sessions are a way for you to tell your birth story in a beautifully artistic way. Capture those first moments of your child’s life; mom's strength and determination, dad’s tears, and even grandparents melting at the site of their new grandchild. The pain will subside, the hours of labor will long be forgotten, but the story is still one of the most important and empowering days of your life that both you and your kids will be able to look back on and reminisce through images and films, I know I do. Birth stories can be created using photography, film, or both. Stories begin at $1,650
Not sure you want your whole birth story photographed? I totally get it. Having a photographer in the delivery room isn’t for everyone. That’s what makes the “Fresh 48” so great (rhyme totally unintended). A “Fresh 48” is a newborn documentary session within the first 48 hours of birth at your home, hospital, or birth center. It’s usually scheduled during daytime hours and lasts approximately 90 minutes. For the unexpected birth, this is a great way to schedule family and loved ones to come visit and document them meeting baby for the first time. It allows you to get some rest and have a little more control over how you introduce your new baby to the world. It is your story after all. Documenting the first days of your baby's life can be done using photography, film, or both. Stories begin at $950.
“A Day in the Life” session is an homage to the home videos and photo albums we used to have when we were young. One of my inspirations to do these is that scene in “National Lampoons Christmas Vacation” when Clarke is trapped in the attic and he stumbles upon old family movies. We don’t take family movies like we used to (which I understand, those cameras were HUGE). We snap photos on phones, get posed photoshoots and forget to document how our kids play, how we snuggle, love, and laugh with them. We end up leaving the photos on our phones or on social media. We forget to document what their little toes looked like or what our morning routines were. Next thing we know, our kids are grown, and we long for those days when they were little. I could go on and on, but you get it. So, I’m offering these sessions to try and bring back some of that magic. Our stories are worth sharing. They’re the visual journals we leave behind long after we’re gone. Documenting a day in your family's life can be done via photographs, a documentary film, or both. Stories begin at $1,000.
